     John Hamer was born on 28 January 1897.1,2 He married Esther Catherine Mawer, daughter of William Mawer and Jane Greathead, in 1934.1 His wife Esther died on 29 August 1971 in Wensleydale, Yorkshire, England, aged 81.1,3 After his wfe died he went to live with his sister Bessie Hamer at 17 Pasture Drive, Bedale.1 John died on 8 April 1980 in Northallerton, Yorkshire, England, aged 83.1,4 John was buried in St Gregory, Bedale, Yorkshire, England, after a service of interment.1

     Beatrice Ann Thompson was born in 1881 in Ellingstring, Masham, Yorkshire, England.1,2,3 She was the daughter of George Thompson and Martha Croft.2 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Ellingstring, Masham, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Martha Thompson Beatrice was a scholar.4 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Bell Field, Masham, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the servant of Elizabeth Carter a widow living on her own means.5 She married John Thomas Mawer, son of William Mawer and Jane Greathead, in 1905 in Leyburn, Yorkshire, England, Beatrice and John had six children George William, John Edward, Reginald, Marjorie Hannah, Joseph Arthur and Kathleen Maud.6,7 Her husband John died on 4 June 1943 in Wensleydale, Yorkshire, England, aged 66.1,8 Beatrice died on 14 November 1943 in Wensleydale, Yorkshire, England.1,9 Beatrice was buried in Healey Churchyard, Healey, Yorkshire, England.1

     Grace L Hoffer was born on 17 August 1896.1,2 She married Reginald G Bampton in 1918 in Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales.3 Her husband Reginald died on 1925 in Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales.4 She married Robert Elesmere Greethead, son of Francis Robert Edward Greethead and Rosina Marion Joll, in 1927 in Register Office, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, Wales.5,6 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Grace was listed as living at 1 Claude Place, Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales, with her husband Robert. Robert was a Tax Officer in the Inland Revenue living with several servants.2 Her husband Robert died on 1960 in Wells, Somerset, England.7 Grace died in 1962 in Weston Super Mare, Somerset, England.8

Margaretta Boote1

     Margaretta Boote was born in 1655 in Cheshire, England.2 She was the daughter of Richard Boote.3 She married John Greatheed, son of Joshua Greatheed and Susannah Crowther, on 3 February 1686 in St Giles, Cripplegate, London, England, after a licence was issued on 26 January 1686.1,4 Her husband John died on 1709 in London, England.1,2 She wrote a will on 26 November 1721 Her niece Martha Twist, daughter of brother Richard and her nephew William Olerhead were Exectors of her will. Interestingly Margaretta mentions a locket with a picture of her late husband and his daughter, so he must have been married previously. She also asked to be buried next to him.5 Margaretta died in 1721.2 Margaretta was buried in St Giles, Cripplegate, London, England.
