     George Hawley was born in 1863 in Wingate, Durham, England.1,2 He was the son of William Hawley and Elizabeth Grindler.1 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Wingate, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of William Hawley George was a scholar.3 In the census of 3 April 1881 in Chapel Street, Wingate, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of William Hawley George was a miner.4 George was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in 249 Chapel Square, Wingate, Easington, Durham, England, George was a coal miner.5 He married Sarah Greathead, daughter of Peter Greathead and Eliza Maughan, on 16 January 1897 in Parish Church, Wingate, Durham, England, after the banns had been read.      Joseph Ede was born about 1785 in Liskeard, Cornwall, England.1 He was the son of Joseph Ede and Ann Little. He married Lydia Becheley, daughter of ... Becheley, on 5 June 1813 in St. Stephen Walbrook, London, England, after a licence was issued the ceremony was witnessed by Francis Ede and Fanny Becheley. Joseph came from the Parish of St Mary in Lambeth.2,3,4 Joseph was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 June 1841 in Brunswick Terrace, Islington, London, England, Joseph was a Government Clerk living with his wife and children. They had two servants.5 Joseph was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at 6 Lower Brunswick Terrace, Islington, Surrey, England, Joseph was an Audit Officer in Somerset House living with his wife, daughter and two servants.6 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Hemingford House, Hemingford Place, Islington, London, England, she was listed as the Uncle and Father in law of John Robert Ede Joseph was a Retired Audit Officer and Fund Holder.7 Joseph died on 17 December 1863 in Reigate, Surrey, England.8,9,10 Joseph was buried on 23 December 1863 in St James, St Pancras, London, England.8 The will of Joseph was proved on 11 January 1864 with a codicil at Principal Registry by oaths of Charles Ede of Lostiford in Wonersh near Guildford his son and Lydia Ede of Hemingford House his unmarried daughter.
