Joseph Ede was born about 1785 in Liskeard, Cornwall, England.1 He was the son of Joseph Ede and Ann Little. He married Lydia Becheley, daughter of ... Becheley, on 5 June 1813 in St. Stephen Walbrook, London, England, after a licence was issued the ceremony was witnessed by Francis Ede and Fanny Becheley. Joseph came from the Parish of St Mary in Lambeth.2,3,4 Joseph was listed as the head of the family on the census of 7 June 1841 in Brunswick Terrace, Islington, London, England, Joseph was a Government Clerk living with his wife and children.
