     James Arthur Strachan was born about 1851 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was the son of James Greethead Strachan and Elizabeth Ward.1 In the census of 30 March 1851 at 4 Clarendon Villas, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, he was listed as the son of James Greethead Strachan.2 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Court of Gloucester back, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, he was listed as the son of James Greethead Strachan James was a bank manager living with his wife and six children all at school, little Mary was described as deaf and dumb.3 On 28 December 1893 brothers Edward and James with their mother proved the will of his father in London who had died on 28 November 1893 in Cheltenham. James was a Major in the Light Infantry and Edward a Caprtain in the Royal Enniskillen Fuselliers.4

     Norman Greathed Alexander was born about 1894.1 He was the son of John Abercromby Alexander and Mary Parry Okeden. He married Corralie Rachel Pyper, daughter of Gordon Pyper and Alice Rachel Parry Okeden, in 1916 in Poole, Dorset, England.2 Norman left Montreal, Quebec in Canada on board the ship Duchess of Bedford. He was an army officer and arrived in Liverpool on 17 September 1930. He gave his address as Hospyffs, Great Horkesley in Essex.3

     Septimus Greathead Jacob was born about 1888.1 He was the son of William J Jacob.2 Septimus signed on in Camberwell for the Territorial Force on 13 May 1908. He was 20 years 2 months old and a wholesale shop fitters assistant giving his address as 107 Kenilworth Avenue, Wimbledon Park. He had served in the 1st Surrey, as a private and Corporal 21st Battalion. He trained annually and served for 6 years 35 days. His engagement was terminated on 12 May 1914.1

     Geoffrey Charles Greathead Hibbert was born on 15 July 1900 in 121 Ruxton Road, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales, his father was an insurance clerk.1,2,3 He was the son of Edward Wilson Hibbert and Florence Willcock.4 He was baptised on 22 August 1900 in Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales.3 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 121 Ruxton Road, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales, he was listed as the son of Edward Wilson Hibbert.5 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 8 Gorridge Park Avenue, Mitcham, Surrey, England, he was listed as the son of Edward Wilson Hibbert Geoffrey was at school.6 Geoffrey enlisted on 25 June 1918. He was a draughtsman and 5 foot 6¾ inches tall, had a 32 inch chest, brown hair, blue eyes, and a fresh complexion. He was discharged on 28 November 1918. His mother lived at 8 Gorringe Park Avenue, Mitcham in Surrey in 1918.7 He married Doris Partridge in 1926 in Wandsworth, London, England.1,8 Geoffrey arrived in New York on 23 April 1947 onboard Aircraft NC 88847 which left London the day before. He was on a business trip staing for about a month Wisconsin, Milwaukee, he planned to return on 1 May. His passport number was PV 11825 which was issued on 16 April 1947. His height was given as 5 feet 6.5 inches tall, with a fair complexion, brown hair and blue eyes. He gave his occupation as a Director, and his wife Doris as his next of kin. Their address was White House, Dennis Lane in Stanmore.1 Geoffrey died in 1949 in Harrow, London, England.9

     Edward Wilson Hibbert was born in 1864 in Westminster, London, England.1,2 He was the son of John Elliot Hibbert and Eliza Carman Bannister.1 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 9 Totill Street, Westminster, London, England, he was listed as the son of John Elliot Hibbert.3 Edward was listed as a nurse child in the census of 2 April 1871 in 9 Upper Terrace, Lambeth, London, England, he was living in the household of John aged 26 and Sarah A Ellison aged 19. Their son Robert W aged 4 months was also in the household. John was a greengrocer. Sarah A Peters a widow aged 47, John's mother in law also lived in the house, she was described as formerly a nurse.4 In the census of 31 March 1881 in 9 Tothill Street, Westminster, London, England, he was listed as the son of John Elliot Hibbert Edward was a life insurance clerk.5 He married Florence Willcock in 1889 in Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales.1,6 Edward was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in 6 Benham Street, Mona Terrace, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales, Edward was an insurance clerk.7 Edward was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in 121 Ruxton Road, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales, Edward was an Insurance Clerk living with his wife and three children.8 Edward was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 8 Gorridge Park Avenue, Mitcham, Surrey, England, Edward was an insurance clerk living with his wife and four of his children in a seven roomed home. One child had died before 1911.9 Edward died in 1917 in Croydon, Surrey, England.10

     Herbert Ward was born on 20 May 1860 in Wilsden Bingley, Yorkshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Charles Ward.3 He married Elizabeth Greathead, daughter of Anthoney Greathead and Margaret Pinkney, on 26 November 1891 in St Matthew, Wilsden, Yorkshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Titsy and Rhoda Beanland. Herbert was a gadener from In House Lane, Wislden and Elizabeth gave her address as Harden Bingley.1,4,3 Herbert was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 24 Spring Gardens, Thornton, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, Herbert was living with his wife, niece and a boarder in their three roomed home. He was working as a jobbing gardener.5 Herbert was listed as head of household in the census of 19 June 1921 in 14 Green Lane, Thornton, Yorkshire, England, Herbert was a caretaker working for Bradford Education Committee at St James School in Thornton living with his wife and niece.6 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Herbert was listed as living at 14 Upper Green Lane, Bradford, Yorkshire, England, a retired caretakerwith his niece Annie who was a burber minder in textiles.2 Herbert died in 1944 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England.7

     Olga Greathead Jackson was born about 1885 in India.1 Olga left Southampton on 12 September 1923 on board the ship Majestic, arriving in New York on 18 September. She was in transit to Dacca, Bengal in India. She was ateacher and had been staying in Engand with her friend Miss Mallows of Biddenham in Bedford.1 Olga left Karachi in Pakistan on board the ship City of Paris. She arrived in Liverpool on 9 May 1928. She stated her permanent address was in India, she was a teacher and gave the addresss in UK as C/o Grindlays &Co, 54 Parliament Street, London.2

     Martin Greatheed Jesse Sutton was born on 13 November 1893 in Aston, Warwickshire, England.1,2,3 He was the son of Ernest George Sutton and Emma Bush. He was baptised on 8 December 1893 in St Peter and St Paul, Aston, Warwickshire, England, his father was a pianoforte tuner and the family lived 26 Nelson Road.3 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 12 Holt Street Buildings, Wrexham, Denbighshire, Wales, he was listed as the son of Ernest George Sutton.4 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 16 Grove Street, Bath, Somerset, England, he was listed as the son of Ernest George Sutton Martin was a grocers errand boy.5 Martin died on 28 July 1917 aged 23 he was killed in action.
