     Ivy Greathead was born on 12 July 1893 in 41 Mordaunt Street, Oldham, Lancashire, England.1,2,3 She was the daughter of Charles Greathead and Emma Ward.1 Her birth was registered at Register Office on 21 August 1893 by her mother Emma who gave her husband's occupation as an iron moulder.1 She married George Wimpenny, son of Albert Wimpenny, on 2 October 1915 in Holy Trinity, Coldhurst, Lancashire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Ethel Wimpenny and John Ainsworth. George was a cotton spinner and Ivy a cardroom hand. They both gave their address as 422 Rochdale Road. Albert, George's father was a cardroom overlooker, is that how she met George?4,5,6,7,8 Ivy died in 1955 in Oldham, Lancashire, England.9

     George Wimpenny was born about 1891. He was the son of Albert Wimpenny.2 He married Ivy Greathead, daughter of Charles Greathead and Emma Ward, on 2 October 1915 in Holy Trinity, Coldhurst, Lancashire, England, after the banns had been read. The cause of his death was Dentition for one month and Convulsions for one day.3

     Oswald Greathead was born on 22 August 1886 in 47 Egerton Street, Oldham, Lancashire, England.1,2,3 He was the son of Charles Greathead and Emma Ward.4 His birth was registered at Register Office on 27 September 1886 by his father who gave his occupation as an iron moulder.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 182 Shaw Road, Oldham, Lancashire, England, he was listed as the son of Charles Schofield.5 Oswald died on 22 April 1906 in Ludworth, Shadforth, Durham, England, aged 19.6,1 His death was registered on 24 April 1906 by his father who described his son as a shifter on a coal mine, and himself as a stoneman in the coal mine. He also signed himself as CS Greathead and his son as Oswald Schofield Greathead. It is a mystery why this name came into the family in the Saint Nicholas Register Office. The cause of his death was Basilar Meningitis.1

The ceremony was witnessed by Fred Pearce, Walter Roberts and Constance Margaret Rains. James gave his address as 18 Tydhurst Road, Oldham and his occupation as a draghtsman. Ivy gave her address as 12 Oak Street. There were no children from the marriage.1 Ivy died about 1974.1

     Charles Thomas Roberts was born on 30 December 1903 in 99 Coalshaw Green Road, Chadderton, Oldham, Lancashire, England.1 He was the son of Evan Thomas Roberts and Ethel Greathead.1 His birth was registered at Olham Register Office on 4 February 1904 by his mother Ethel who gave her husbands occupation as an iron turner.1 He married Jessie Brocklehurst, daughter of Albert Brocklehurst and Nellie Williams, on 23 October 1943 in Culcheth Chapel, Droyloden Road, Newton Heath, Manchester, Lancashire, England, They married after a Methodist licence being issued. Both Charles and Jessie were Mental hospital nurses. The ceremony was witnessed by Walter Roberts, Joan Brocklehurst and Albert Brocklehurst. Prior to the wedding Charles lived at 4 Merton Avenue, Hollonwood, Oldham and Jessie at 17 Melrose Street, Newton Heath, Manchester. After the wedding they lived at 28 Devon Street, Werneth, Oldham.1 He was a Mental Nurse and was running a home for mentally handicapped boys at Milnethrpe.1 Charles gave his address as 18 Flash Stree, Newton Heath when he informed the authorities of the death of his father Evan Roberts. His death was registered on 22 November 1976 by his daughter Ann Roberts in the Register Office. The cause of his death was Bronchopneumonia, chronic bronchitis and Pneumothorax.1 Charles died on 22 November 1976 in North Manchester Hospital, Crumpsall, Lancashire, England, aged 72.1

     Hilda Roberts was born on 11 November 1914.1 She was the daughter of Evan Thomas Roberts and Ethel Greathead.1 She married Sydney Webb about 1942 There were no children from this marriage.1 She married Frank Roberts in 1953 There were no children from this marriage.1 Hilda was the informant of her mother Ethels death, she lived at 94 Burlington Avenue in Oldham in 1953. Hilda once visited Eva Turner, the famous opera singer from Oldham who was Granville's #12235 cousin. While there Eva's close friend Ivor Novello dropped in for afternoon tea. Hilda was thrilled and amazed as during the conversation everyone was referred to as "Darling."1 She died on 13 April 2004 in Southampton General Hospital, Southampton, Hampshire, England, aged 89 Hilda was born a Roberts and died a Roberts.1,2 Her body was cremated on 23 April 2004 in Southampton Crematorium, Southampton, Hampshire, England.2

     Sydney Webb married Hilda Roberts, daughter of Evan Thomas Roberts and Ethel Greathead, about 1942 There were no children from this marriage.1 Sydney died before 1953 Hilda was a widow when she married Frank.1

     Frank Roberts married Hilda Roberts, daughter of Evan Thomas Roberts and Ethel Greathead, in 1953 There were no children from this marriage.1 He was an Inspector of Police at Werneth, Oldham and later moved to the New Forest when he worked as Head of Security at Fawley Esso.1 Frank died about 1983 in Dibden Purlieu, New Forest, Hampshire, England.1

     Henry Hearn was born on 27 March 1859 in Kettleburgh, Suffolk, England.1 He was the son of George Hearn and Elizabeth Snell.1 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Cottage Church Gate, Kettleburgh, Suffolk, England, he was listed as the son of George Hearn Henry was an agricultural worker.2 He married Mary Ann Banthorpe, daughter of John Banthorpe and Hannah Levett, on 1 January 1879 in Trinity Church, Bungay, Suffolk, England, The ceremony after banns was witnessed by Eliza Hughes and ? Arbon who left his mark X.1,3 Henry was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in Low Street, Ilketshall St Margaret, Suffolk, England, Henry was an agricultural labourer living with his wife and daughter.4 Henry was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in Badingham Road, Framlingham, Suffolk, England, Henry was an agricultural labourer living with his wife and children. Little George Henry was staying with his grandparents.5 Henry was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in Saxmundham Road, Framlingham, Suffolk, England, Henry was an agricultural labourer living with his family.6 There was a magnificent picture taken of the Hearn family. The old gentleman on the horse is Henry Hearn.1 Henry was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in Lampard Brook, Framlingham, Suffolk, England, Henry was listed as a farmer living with his wife, mother and children in their five roomed home. His wife Mary had completed the census sheet.7 The family had a picture taken in 1913. Henry died in 1942 in Blyth, Suffolk, England.8 Henry was buried in Framlingham Cemetery, Framlingham, Suffolk, England.1
