Hilda once visited Eva Turner, the famous opera singer from Oldham who was Granville's #12235 cousin. While there Eva's close friend Ivor Novello dropped in for afternoon tea. Hilda was thrilled and amazed as during the conversation everyone was referred to as "Darling."¹ She died on 13 April 2004 in Southampton General Hospital, Southampton, Hampshire, England, aged 89 Hilda was born a Roberts and died a Roberts.^1,2
