Molly Clare Kelbe was born on 9 October 1916 in Cape Town, South Africa.2 She was the daughter of Walter Edward Kelbe and B B ...3,1 In 1935 Molly was living with her father in Elderot, Kenya while he was acting as a locum for a doctor on leave. The house was up the hill, below St Matthews Church. On 25 April that year Leslie Mounsley, a friend of the family whose father had a farm out Lessos way, came to visit them and introduced the managerof the Kenya Cooperative Creamery (KCC) which had recently been opened. Leslie was an assistant at the factory. It was that day that Molly first met Ken.1 She married Kenneth Horatio Greathead, son of James Henry Horatio Greathead and Helen Douglas Huntly, on 18 January 1936 in St Matthews, Eldoret, Kenya, after a certificate was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Molly's parents. Kenneth gave his occupation as a factory worker, his father James Henry Horatio Greatead was a contractor. Molly's father Walter Edward Kelbe's occupation was listed as MRCS and LRCP.4 Her husband Kenneth died on 14 May 1998 in Regional Hospital, Albany, Western Australia, Australia, aged 87 His usual address was 60 Erindale Crescent, Albany. He had lived in Western Australia for 36 years and died from a chronic obstructive airways disease, congestice cardiac failure and chronic renal disease.5 Molly died on 21 December 2012 in Bethel, South Australia, Australia, aged 96 Molly died leaving three children, nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.6 Molly was buried on 28 December 2012 A service to give thanks for the life of the late Mrs Molly Clare Greathead of Albany was conducted at "Bethany", 1 Prior Street, Albany commencing at 12.00 midday.7
