The house was up the hill, below St Matthews Church. On 25 April that year Leslie Mounsley, a friend of the family whose father had a farm out Lessos way, came to visit them and introduced the managerof the Kenya Cooperative Creamery (KCC) which had recently been opened. Leslie was an assistant at the factory. It was that day that Molly first met Ken.¹ She married Kenneth Horatio Greathead, son of James Henry Horatio Greathead and Helen Douglas Huntly, on 18 January 1936 in St Matthews, Eldoret, Kenya, after a certificate was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Molly's parents. Kenneth gave his occupation as a factory worker, his father James Henry Horatio Greatead was a contractor.
