     Richard Verrill was born in 1839. He was the son of Richard Verrill and Zipporah Wood. He was baptized on 6 May 1839 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.1 He married Elizabeth Truefitt Todd, daughter of Jacob Todd, on 5 March 1860 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England, The ceremony was witnessed by James William Woods and Richard Verrill.2

     Zipporah Verrill was born on 13 May 1842. She was the daughter of Richard Verrill and Zipporah Wood. She was baptized on 10 June 1842 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.1 She died on 28 December 1847 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England, aged 5.2 She was buried in St Hilda's, Plot E28, Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England, aged 5 years 5 mths.2

     Isabel Verrill was the daughter of Isaac Verrill and Mary Ellen O'Hare. Isabel was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 3 April 1881 in Back Street, Haswell, Durham, England, George was a widower and is listed as deaf. His sister Margaret who is a widow and I think is really his sister in law is staying with him. Also with them is a young girl Sarah J Garry from Trimdon aged 16 who I believe is Margaret's grandaughter.1
