     Mary Ann Unthank was born in 1825. She was the daughter of John Unthank and Margaret Verrill. She married Burton Verrill, son of Richard Verrill and Ann Smales, on 24 March 1846 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England, after a licence was issued.1 She died on 27 March 1893.

He was baptised on 26 November 1806 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.1 He married Ann Sanderson on 20 September 1826 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England, after banns were read and with the consent by both parties. the ceremony was witnessed by William Burton and Thomas Coote.1
He married Zipporah Wood, daughter of Zebedee Wood and Prudence Brown, on 10 December 1832 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England, The ceremony was witnessed by James Wood and John Lewis.1 He was a fisherman.

     Richard Verrill was born on 3 May 1850. He was the son of Burton Verrill and Mary Ann Unthank. He was baptised on 26 May 1850 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England, There was no entry of a father in Baptism records, maybe due to father - Burton being away at sea -.1,2

He married Zipporah Fell on 27 August 1872 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.1

     Thomas Verrill was born on 30 March 1863 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Burton Verrill and Mary Ann Unthank. He was baptised on 19 April 1863 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.2 He married Jane Grimes, daughter of James Grimes, on 17 August 1886 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England.3 Thomas was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in Boat House Yard, Staithes, Yorkshire, England, Thomas was a fisherman living with his wife and two young children, Thomas was only six months old.4 Thomas was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 31 March 1901 in Boat House Yard, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, Thomas was a fisherman living with his wife and children.5 Thomas was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in Boat House Yard, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, Thomas was a fisherman living with his wife and children, living in their seven roomed home. They had ten children, two of which had died before 1911.6 He died on 11 October 1951 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England, aged 88.7

She married Thomas Verrill, son of Burton Verrill and Mary Ann Unthank, on 17 August 1886 in Whitby, Yorkshire, England.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Boat House Yard, Staithes, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Thomas Verrill.2 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Boat House Yard, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Thomas Verrill.3 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Boat House Yard, Whitby, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Thomas Verrill.4 She died on 10 July 1951.
