He married Margaret Harrison on 10 June 1957 in Durham, England.1,3 He was described as under the weather in April 2004.1 He died on 1 January 2006 in Bath Royal United Hospital, Bath, Somerset, England, aged 74.4,5 His body was cremated at 10:30 on 10 January 2006 in Haycombe Crematorium Chapel, Bristol, Somerset, England, It was requested that there be family flowers only, donations if desired for The British Heart Foundation could be sent to L. J. Guyan, Funeral Directors, 12 Charlton Road, Keynsham, BS31 2JA.4

     George Hetherington Greathead was born in 1906 in Lanchester, Durham, England.2 He was the son of Nathan Greathead and Elizabeth Ann Gleghorn. He married Ann R Dawson in 1930 in Houghton le Spring, Durham, England.3 His wife Ann died on 1941 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, England.1,4 He married Jane Ann Stanger in 1942 in Durham, England.5 He died on 18 August 1962 in 1 Co-operative Villas, Sherburn Hill, Durham, England.1,6,7 He was buried on 22 August 1962 in Cemetery, Chester le Street, Durham, England, in Plot BM50. Two others had been buried in that plot before him. Thomas Wilson aged 68 on 17 April 1952 and Ann Paisley aged 30 on 7 December 1910. His first wife Ann had been buried in plot G626 in 1941.8 The will of George was proved on 21 November 1962 at Durham to Jane Ann his widow. His effects were valued at £2214 6s 0d.7
