     Elwin Enticknap was born in 1859 in Guildford, Surrey, England.1,2 He was the son of John Enticknap and Charlotte Hackman.1 He was the son of John Enticknap and Charlotte Enticknap in the 1861 census in Bury Street, Guildford, Surrey, England.3 He was a step son of George Tidy and Charlotte Tidy in the 1871 census in Park Street, Guildford, Surrey, England.4 He married Mary Ann Harris on 10 October 1881 in St Peter, Hackney, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by John William Harris and Emma Buxton. Elwin was a Market Porter, his father was deceased but had worked as a drayman. Mary's father John William Harris was also deceased and had worked as a milk carrier. Both Elwin and Mary gave their address as De Beauvoir Town.5 He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in 41 Woodland Street, Dalston, London, England. Elwin was a bottle beer carman living with his wife and children.6 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in 41 Woodland Street, Hackney, London, England. Elwin was an assistant brewer living with his wife and children.7 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in 125 Holly Street, Dalston, London, England. Elwin was a foreman in a bottle beer manufacturing living with his wife and children.8 He died on 19 September 1931 in Metropolitan Hospital, Hackney, London, England, his usual address was 125 Holly Street in Dalston.9,10 His estate was probated on 23 October 1931 and papers of Administration were issued to his widow Mary Ann. His effects were valued at £326 0s 9d.9
