He was the son of Ebenezer Pearson and Anna Maria Pearson in the 1901 census in Marshall Road, Farncombe, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of Ebenezer Pearson and Anna Maria Pearson in the 1911 census in Supply Stores, Wonersh, Surrey, England. Arthur was a Grocers Boy.3 Arthur enlisted into The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) 5th Battalion in October 1914. His service number was T/1810. He proceeded with the battalion to India, and from there to Mesopotamia.4,5 He died on 7 January 1916 in Persian Gulf his death was reported in the Surrey Advertiser of 28 February 1916.5 He was buried in Amara War Cemetery, Iraq, Plot number XXXI. D. 6.4

They had 10 children, three of which had died before 1911.8 On 2 September 1939 in the National Register Ebenezer was listed as living at 11a Town End Street, Godalming, Surrey, England, with his wife Anna. Ebenezer was incapacitated.9 He died in 1940 in Surrey, England.10
