     Raymond Thomas Murphy was born circa 1926 in Australia.¹ He was the son of Alfred Grange Murphy and Laura Ellen Goodwin.¹ Laura sailed on Largs Bay leaving Brisbane and arriving in Hull on 16 December 1927 with her son Raymond age 1. She gave her address again as 2 New Park Road, Ashford. I suspect they were visiting her mother who lived there, and probably attending her sister Norah's wedding. Laura and her son returned to Brisbane on board Hobson Bay leaving from London on 8 February 1928, giving the same address as their first journey to UK.^1,2 He died in March 1929 in Stanthorpe, Queensland, Australia, after a fall.³
