The ceremony was witnessed by Abrahm Punter and Elizabeth Killick.3 He was listed as head of household in the 1851 census in Shamley Green, Surrey, England. William was an agricultural labourer living with his wife and son Henry.4 He died on 1 June 1866 in Common House Farm, Cranleigh, Surrey, England.5,6 He was buried on 6 June 1866 in St Nicolas, Cranleigh, Surrey, England, his gravestone reads 'Dust thou art and unto dust thou return.7' His estate was probated on 1 October 1866 in the Principal Registry by the oaths of the Executors, Thomas Street of Cranleigh a farmer and Thomas Killick of Cranleigh a butcher.6
