John Norton Lewis
     John Norton Lewis was born on 9 October 1884 in Dover, Kent, England.2 He married Daisy Gertrude Stroud, daughter of Stephen Friday Stroud and Eliza Ann Honeybourne, in 1908 in Dover, Kent, England.1,2 John died on 13 October 1915 in Loos, France, aged 31 Lance Corporal J N Lewis was killed in action. He was in the 6th Battalion of the Buffs.2 John was buried in Loos Memorial, Loos-en-Gohelle, Department du Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France.3 Daisy was sent war gratuity on 31 January 1917 of £5 6s 9d and a further £6 10s 0d on 1 September 1919.4
