     Eliza Wilson was born on 8 March 1820 in Thirsk, Yorkshire, England.¹ She was the daughter of Robert Thomas Wilson and Elizabeth Dales.¹ She married William Henry Lamb, son of Charles Lamb and Margaret Elliot, on 21 December 1839 in All Saints, Ingelby Arncliffe, Yorkshire, England, Their marriage was witnessed by William Spark and Mary Glover.^1,2 William, Eliza and their six children travelled on the ship "Golconda" which left Liverpool on 30 January 1854 and arrived in New Orleans on Saturday 18 March 1854. Little Marintha had died in 1853. William and his family were converted by Mormon missionaries into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They travelled with Captain Kearnes' ox-train and eventually settled in Wales in Utah.¹ In the census of 1 June 1860 in Nephi, Juah, Utah, USA, she was listed as the wife of William Henry Lamb.³ Eliza died on 13 May 1899 in Wales, Sanpete County, Utah, USA, aged 79.¹ Alfred is buried close to his parents, William and Eliza.
