Frederick was a goods assistant checker for the Railway Company.6 In the census of 19 June 1921 in 37 Chester Street, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Frederick Greathead.7 He married Vera Woofinden in 1933 in Yorkshire, England.8 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Stanley was listed as living at 4/1 Prospect Road, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, with his wife Vera. He was baptised on 1 February 1885 in Cathedral Church of St Peter & St Paul, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, the family lived in Cathbert Road and his father was an engraver.6 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 13 Cuthbert Road, Nether Hallam, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Francis Rice Greathead Christopher was a scholar.7 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 13 Cuthbert Road, Nether Hallam, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Francis Rice Greathead Christopher was a rolling mill labourer.8 Christopher enlisted on 8 July 1904 into the 3rd Battallion Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry as No 9099 he gave his age as 17 years 6 months and his address as 13 Cuthbert Road, his father, Francis Rice Greathead lived at the same address. His occupation was a hammer driver. He was five foot 4 inches tall and weighed 101 lbs. His chest measurement was 30 inches. His complexion was fresh, his eyes were grey and hair brown. He had a mole just above his right nipple. He was discharged on 3 April 1906 as a Private in Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry 51st and 105 Foot on payment of £1.9,10 In the census of 2 April 1911 in 11 Hardy Street, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, he was listed as the son of Francis Rice Greathead Chris was a furnaceman.11,12 Christopher was discharged from Sheffield Northern General Hospital in January 1916 having been admitted in November 1914 after suffering from a gunshot would to the left buttock causing him a urine retention problem.13 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Christopher Greathead was listed as living at 11 Hardy Street, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, with his mother Christopher was a disabled ex-serviceman.4 Christopher died in 1947 in 11 Hardy Street, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.1,14 Christopher was buried on 18 December 1947 in St Mary, Walkley, Sheffield, Yorkshire, England.15
