     Robert Calvert was born about 1816 in Woodham, Durham, England.2 He was the son of Peter Calvert and Margaret Fishburn.1 He married Elizabeth Tate.1 Robert was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in Darlington, Durham, England, Robert was a whitesmith living with his wife and two children.3 In the census of 7 April 1861 in 14 Gwney Street, Darlington, Durham, England, he was listed as the father of Mary Ann Evans Robert was a blacksmith.4 Robert was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1871 in Allan Street, Darlington, Durham, England, Robert was a boilersmith living with his wife and children.      Thomas Tate Calvert was born in 1853 in Darlington, Durham, England.2,3 He was the son of Robert Calvert and Elizabeth Tate.1 In the census of 7 April 1861 in 14 Gwney Street, Darlington, Durham, England, he was listed as the brother of Mary Ann Evans Thomas was a scholar.4 He married Isabella Stainton in 1871 in Darlington, Durham, England, It would appear that Isabella's surname may have been spelt Stanton.1,5 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Allan Street, Darlington, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Robert Calvert.6 Thomas was listed as the head of the family on the census of 3 April 1881 in 21 Allen Street, Darlington, Durham, England, Thomas was a forger at the iron works living with his wife and children.7 Thomas was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 5 April 1891 in 51 Frederick Street, Throston, Durham, England, Thomas was a forgeman living with his wife and children.8 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 9 Blayden Street, Throston, Durham, England, he was listed as the father of Henry Calvert Thomas was a forgeman.9 He died in 1907 in Hartlepool, Durham, England, The GRO index suggests he was aged 63 although using his birthdate it would seem he was only 54.10
