     John Osborn Bate was born on 10 August 1820 in Faversham, Kent, England.1 He was the son of John Bate and Jane Osborn.1 John died on 21 July 1909 in East London, South Africa, aged 88.1

     Elizabeth Truelove was born about 1857 in Biddlestone, Wiltshire, England.1 She was the daughter of William Truelove and Fanny Scriven.1 In the census of 7 April 1861 in 64 Main Street, Lambourn, Berkshire, England, she was listed as the daughter of William Truelove.2

     James Samuel Truelove was born about 1860 in Biddlestone, Wiltshire, England.1 He was the son of William Truelove and Fanny Scriven.1 In the census of 7 April 1861 in 64 Main Street, Lambourn, Berkshire, England, he was listed as the son of William Truelove William was a race horse trainer. The household consisted of several servants and a professional jockey boarding with them. Luke Snowdon was his name aged 21.2 James emigrated to Australia in 1883.3

     Thomas Wilkinson Dodshon was born on 25 April 1904 in Auckland, Durham, England.1,2 He married Dora Vincent, daughter of Henry Vincent and Hetty Greathead, on 6 November 1929 in Christ Church, Knaresborough, Yorkshire, England.3,4 Thomas sailed on 23 November 1951 to Trinidad on board the ship Factor giving his place of final residence as British Guiana. His UK address was 22 Rothbury Terrace, Newcastle upon Tyne and his occupation an electrical engineer. Dora and her daughter Denise sailed out on board the ship Arakaka arriving on 25 July 1952 to join him in British Guana.5 Thomas arrived in Plymouth on 6 December 1954 on board the ship Cottica from British Guiana. He gave his UK address as 12 Windsor Crescent, Newcastle upon Tyne.6 Thomas sailed out to British Guiana on the ship Arakaka on 1 April 1955. giving his address as 2 Stonefall View, Hookstone Chase, Harrogate.5 Thomas and Dora arrived in Plymouth aboard the ship Oranjestad on 14 April 1958 from Georgetown, British Guyana. Thomas was an electrical engineer working for Sandbach Parker Co Ltd, Water Street, Liverpool.6 His wife Dora died on 1976 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England.7 Thomas died in January 1991 in Ardudwy, Gwynedd, Wales, aged 86.8

     Benjamin Robson Watson was born on 22 December 1911 in Ridleys Yard Prudhoe, Bywell, Hexham, Northumberland, England, his parents were William Watson and Mary Ann Robson. William was a coal miner.1,2 Far action taken during the Salerno Campaign Benjamin was awarded the MBE.3 He married Marjorie Vincent, daughter of Henry Vincent and Hetty Greathead, in January 1948 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, England.4 Benjamin, Marjorie and their son Stephen sailed in September 1957 to Georgetown arriving back in Plymouth on 29 October 1957 on the ship Cottica.1 Benjamin died on 11 June 1977 in Ael-y-don, Pier Road, Tywyn, Gwynedd, Wales, aged 65.1,5
