     Frederic Calvert was born about 1857 in Darlington, Durham, England.1 He was the son of Robert Calvert and Elizabeth Tate.1 In the census of 7 April 1861 in 14 Gwney Street, Darlington, Durham, England, he was listed as the brother of Mary Ann Evans Mary is married but no sign of her husband. Her parents and siblings are living with her.2 In the census of 2 April 1871 in Allan Street, Darlington, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Robert Calvert.3
