In the census of 31 March 1901 in 38 Milton Street, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Marion Stewart.2 He witnessed the marriage of Hannah Mary Allinson and Henry Kemp Stewart on 30 January 1917 in St George's Congregation Church. Park Road, West Hartlepool, Durham, England.3,4 A lovely photograph or Roy, his fiancée Vida, his sister Marion and her children Ron and Norman. He married Vida Maud Smith in 1924 in Lewisham, London, England.5 Jan remembers visiting Roy and Vida at their home Bowden Lodge, Churt, Nr Farnham, Surey (Hindhead 196) when she was young with her parents.6
