     Brown Verrill was born on 2 April 1810. He was the son of Thomas Verrill and Dinah Brown. He was baptized on 5 April 1810 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.1 He was buried on 20 November 1842 There was as entry in the book "Staithes" p 47 which states "One gallon of ale for Brown Verrill's funeral" seems to have been brought from the Shoulder of Mutton Inn.
