Joseph "Mutt" Summers
     Joseph Summers was known as Joseph "Mutt" Summers chief test pilot of Vickers and with his brother Maurice were involved with getting the Merlin engine into the P51 aeroplane.1 He married Dulcie Jeanette Belcher in 1922 in Sculcoates, Yorkshire, England.2 He was buried in Weybridge, Surrey, England, after a ceremony in Westminster Abbey.3

He was baptised on 5 April 1810 in Hinderwell, Yorkshire, England.1 He was buried on 20 November 1842 There was as entry in the book "Staithes" p 47 which states "One gallon of ale for Brown Verrill's funeral" seems to have been brought from the Shoulder of Mutton Inn.
