     Thomas Smith was born in 1898.2 He was the son of James Smith and Laura Banthorpe. He died on 20 November 1917 in France.2 He was buried in Hermies Hill British Cemetery.2

     Caroline Smith was born on 25 September 1895 in Suffolk, England.2 She was the daughter of James Smith and Laura Banthorpe. She married Richard William Stokes. She died on 6 March 1982 in Kilmarnock, Scotland, aged 86.2 She was buried on 12 March 1982 in Manor Park, East Ham, London, England.2
