The brothers Herbert and George were both coalminers.3

She was baptised on 29 January 1843.2 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Cransford, Suffolk, England, she was listed as the daughter of Gilbert Banthorpe.3 In the census of 7 April 1861 in Brook Farm, Kettleburgh, Suffolk, England, she was listed as the servant for William and Harriet Patrick. William was a farmer of 270 acres.4 She married Henry Thurston on 7 December 1863 in Plomesgate, Suffolk, England, William Banthorpe witnessed the ceremony.2,5

     Solomon Banthorpe was born on 29 April 1802 in Cransford, Suffolk, England, There is some confusion. Maybe Solomon was born 23 April 1797.1 He was the son of William Banthorpe and Mary Payne. He was baptised on 4 July 1802 in Independant, Rendham, Suffolk, England.2 He married Martha Godbold on 17 May 1824 in Akenham, Suffolk, England.3 Solomon was listed as the head of the family on the census of 6 June 1841 in Akenham, Suffolk, England, Solomon was an agricultural labourer.4 Solomon was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at Akenham, Suffolk, England, Solomon was working as a agricultural labourer.5 Solomon died in 1859 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England.6
