     Derek Greathead was born on 18 January 1934 Derek (had 6 siblings) was evacuated aged 4 and half from Newcastle to stay with Mr and Mrs Greathead in Chilton. They had no children and asked after the war to adopt him. and changed his name by deed-pole from Dunn just prior to his marriage. Mr Greatheads father was head gardener to Eden estate owned by Sir Timothy Eden older brother of Sir Anthony. Also aware of well known blacksmith in area named Bob Greathead of Bowburn (just died), although believed he had two nephews in Hartlepool.1
He was the son of Albert Greathead and Annie Lambert. He married Kathleen McGowan in 1960 in Durham, England.1,2

     Isabella Baker was born about 1783 in Colliery Dyke, Durham, England.1,2 She married Peter Brown on 5 December 1818 in Lanchester, Durham, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Edward Gray Matthewson, Edward Gray Catherine Matthewson and Jane Porter. Peter was described as of Westerleigh and Isabella of Pontop.3,4 In the census of 6 June 1841 in Chapel Row, Shildon, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Peter Brown.5 In the census of 30 March 1851 at Shildon, Durham, England, she was listed as the wife of Peter Brown.6 Her husband Peter died on 15 August 1858 in Chapel Row, Shildon, Durham, England, from gradual decay which was not certified. He was listed as a colliery Screewman.7 Isabella was listed as the head of the family of on the census of 7 April 1861 in Shildon, Durham, England, she was living alone.8 In the census of 2 April 1871 in 16 Anthony Street, Stranton, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, she was listed as the mother in law of William Greathead.9 She died on 27 January 1872 in Anthony Street, West Hartlepool, Durham, England, from old age. Her grandson Peter registered her death.10
