In the census of 7 April 1861 in Smithfield, Stockton, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of William Joyce Hutchinson.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 11 Brougham Street, Stockton, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of William Joyce Hutchinson William was a blacksmith.3

     Marjorie Lamb was born on 26 September 1918 in 7 Stranton Place, Hartlepool, Durham, England.1 She was the daughter of Nicholas Lamb and Matilda Soronson. She married Leslie Mallam on 19 July 1941. Family lived in Stranton area and owned a tripe shop (Where the current Fire Station is opposite the brewery) Marjorie owned the family bible.1
