     Leonard Frederick Benson was born circa 1909.1 He married Evelyn Grace Jarrad, daughter of Henry James Jarrad and Alice Annie Hook, on 31 January 1931 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. Peter had been in the Navy during the war and had spent time in India where he had ridden race horses.1 He died on 30 July 2008 in Meadowview Cottage, Wonersh Common, Wonersh, Surrey, England.      Felicity Susan ... married Peter Buchanan Jackson. She was born circa 1930. Susan's grandfather Murray was the founder and creator of the Oxford English Dictionary. Susan was a good needlewoman, both she and Peter liked to paint.1 She died on 31 July 2008. Spencer Reed1

     Spencer Reed married Elisabeth ... He was born circa 1912. Spencer became a committed Christian whilst at University. During the war he served as a doctor in the RAF and was posted to Malta. After his demob he joined up with two friends and sailed the Atlantic in a small craft with two friends. In USA they went their separate ways. Spencer crossed the west coast and made his way across he Pacific Ocean. He practised as a doctor on various islands before moving on and finally arrived in Australia.2 Spencer learned that leprosy was the scourge of the tropics and as determined to play his part in the fight against the literal rotting of human beings He returned to England, studied for a diploma in Tropical Medicine and then joined up with Leprosy Contol in Indonesia. He was sent to Bali and joined the World Health Organisation and moved to north Thailand continuing his leprosy work. After a while the conditions became yet again too much and he had to leave and this time return to England. He joined up as a GP in a practice in Streatham and worked there for twenty years until his retirement in his seventies.2 He died in 1992.1 He was buried on 31 July 1992 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England.1

He was born circa 1927.1 Peter became treasurer on the Parochial Church Council and in 1993 he became the Deanery Synod Representativ. he was also Treasuer for the Four Villages Day Centre.2 His wife Anne died on 23 October 1997 in Oak Cottage, Linersh Wood, Bramley, Surrey, England.1 He died on 26 July 1999 in Oak Cottage, Linersh Wood, Bramley, Surrey, England.1 He was buried on 30 July 1999 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England.1

Edward John Thomas

     Edward John Thomas was born on 19 February 1906 in Albury, Surrey, England.1 He married Ethel May Allen in 1933 in Hambledon, Surrey, England.2 Edward was chauffeur to Lord Eusted Percy. Later becoming a bus driver and special constable in Shamley Green. In WW2. He volunteered and joined the RAF and was sent to India, suffered sickness for much of journey. He ended his working life as Head Gardener at an ATS depot.1 In 1939 Edward and Ethel moved to 1 Little Tangley Cottage with Ethel's parents. Her mother and grandmother ran the laundry. Her mother died in 1955 and her father 10 years later.1 He died on 2 July 2000 in 1 Little Tangley Cottage, Wonersh, Surrey, England, at age 94.3 His body was cremated on 7 July 2000 in Guildford Crematorium, Godalming, Surrey, England.3
