     John James Randolph was born in 1817 he was the second son of Thomas.1 He was the son of Thomas Randolph. John attended Christ Church in Oxford from 15 May 1834-40 receiving his BA in 1838. He became a fellow at Merton Collage in 1840 where he received his MA in 1841. He was a tutor and dean in 1841, bursar 1842, sub warden 1846 and called to the bar at law in Lincoln's Inn in 1844.1 He received the probate of the estate of Leveson Cyril Randolph on 1 March 1876 at the Principal Registry he was living at 35 Harley Street and was one of the Executors. His effects were valued at under £25,000.2

     Abraham Henry Simmonds was born on 25 March 1875 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Henry Simmonds and Hannah Todd. He was the son of Henry Simmonds and Hannah Simmonds in the 1881 census in 11 Aeolus Street, Bradford, Yorkshire, England.2 He was the son of Henry Simmonds and Hannah Roberts in the 1891 census in Hare Street, Bradford, Yorkshire, England. Abraham was a carder worsted spinner.3 He married Harriet Stephenson on 7 October 1899 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witessed by William Briggs and Joseph Parker. Abraham was a french polisher and his father Henry Simmonds was a labourer. Harriet was a spinner her father George Stephenson was a miner.4 He appeared in the household of Abraham Henry Simmonds and Harriet Simmonds in the 1901 census in Wentwork Road, Darton, Yorkshire, England. Abraham was a french polisher living with his wife and daughter boarding with James and Sophia Sedgwick.5
