Thomas was an agricultural labourer.2 He was the son of John Mitchell and Emma Mitchell in the 1881 census in Thorncombe Street, Bramley, Surrey, England. Thomas was a general keeper.3 He was the son of John Mitchell and Emma Mitchell in the 1891 census in Thorncombe Street, Bramley, Surrey, England. Thomas was a domestic gardener.4 He married Emily Raggett, daughter of Reuben Raggett and Mary Nash, on 1 December 1891 in St Peter and St Paul, Godalming, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by William Faulkner, Eliza Mary Faulkner and Henry James Mitchell. Thomas was a gardener.5,6 He died in 1901 in Hambledon, Surrey, England.7 He was buried on 7 December 1901 in All Saints, Witley, Surrey, England.
