Roland Victor Carr was born on 9 September 1885 in Staines, Middlesex, England, his parents were Walter and Ada Jane Carr.1 He married Isabel Katherine Sudbury, daughter of John Jackson Sudbury and Mary Smith, on 30 October 1911 in Colombo Roland was from Twante in Burma and was the younger son of Walter Carr, The Mount Camberley. Isabel Katherine was the younger daughter of the late John Jackson Sudbury and Mrs Sudbury of Wonersh Park.2 Roland and Isabel from Enton Brook near Godalming left London on 4 December 1925 on P&O ship Malwa bound for Yokohama.3 Roland and Isabel left Bombay in India on 19 May 1927 on Khyber bound for London.4 Roland and Isabel left London on 24 February 1938 on board Baltistan bound for Port Said in Egypt.3 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Roland was listed as living at Enton Brook, Hambledon, Surrey, England, with his wife Isabel. Roland was a Retired Manager of a Rubber Plantation in Burma and a Air Raid Warden in Hambledon.5 He died on 28 July 1965 in Verrington Hospital, Wincanton, Somerset, England, at age 79 his usual address was Laycocks in Castle Carey in Somerset.6,7 He's ashes were buried on 1 August 1965 in Wonersh and Blackheath Cemetery, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after a service in St John the Baptist in Wonersh.8 His estate was probated on 4 October 1965 in London to Charles Arthur Carr Turner CBE a managing director.7

Beatrice Mary Hatfield Back was born in 1862 in Berkewell, Warwickshire, England.1 She married John Hugh Granville Randolph, son of Leveson Cyril Randolph, in 1895 in St George Hanover Square, London, England.2 She was the wife of John Hugh Granville Randolph in the 1901 census in All Saints Vicarage, Margaret, Kent, England. John was a Church of England clergyman living with his wife and daughters with five servants. They had one visitor George Jones an organist staying with them.3 John and Beatrice came to live in Wonersh in 1908.4 She was the wife of John Hugh Granville Randolph in the 1911 census in Dower House, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England. John was living with his wife, three daughters and six servants. John was a Bishop and signed himself as John Guildford.5 John and his family were still living in the Bishops House in Wonersh in 1927. During John's eighteen years in Wonersh, as Bishop Suffragan of Guildford under three Bishops of Winchester. He told people that he had driven 300,000 miles and had worn out nine cars. He moved in 1927 he was appointed by the Crown to the Deanery of Salisbury.6,7 She died on 14 March 1935 in Nursing Home Harcourt Bridge Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, her usual address was The Deanery in Salisbury.8,9 Her estate was probated on 9 May 1935 in Winchester to her husband Right Rev John Hugh Granville Randolph a bishop.9 She was buried in Salisbury Cathedral, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.7 There is a window in St John the Baptist Church in Wonersh which says 'In memory of John Hugh Granville Randolph - Bishop Suffragan of Guildford 1909-1927 and Dean of Salisbury 1928-1935 and his wife Beatrice Mary Hatfield 1862-1935 who lived in Wonersh 1909-1928 RIP.10'
