He was baptised on 4 September 1870 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, his parents were John and Annie. His father was a leather dresser.2 He was buried on 9 March 1874. He died on 14 March 1874.

     Annie Simmonds was born in 1874 in Guildford, Surrey, England.2 She was the daughter of William Joseph Simmonds and Ann Edmonds.1 She was the granddaughter of John Richard Edmonds and Ann Edmonds in the 1881 census in 17 Bury Street, Guildford, Surrey, England.3 She was the grandaughter of John Richard Edmonds and Ann Edmonds in the 1891 census Denzil Road, Guildford, Surrey, England.4

     Roland Victor Carr was born in 1885 in Staines, Middlesex, England, his parents were Walter and Ada Jane Carr.1 He married Isabel Katherine ... Roland and Isabel from Enton Brook near Godalming left London on 4 December 1925 on P&O ship Malwa bound for Yokohama.2 Roland and Isabel left Bombay in India on 19 May 1927 on Khyber bound for London.3 Roland and Isabel left London on 24 February 1938 on board Baltistan bound for Port Said in Egypt.2 He died on 28 July 1965 in Verrington Hospital, Wincanton, Somerset, England, his usual address was Laycocks in Castle Carey in Somerset.4,5 He's ashes were buried on 1 August 1965 in Wonersh and Blackheath Cemetery, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after a service in St John the Baptist in Wonersh.6 His estate was probated on 4 October 1965 in London to Charles Arthur Carr Turner CBE a managing director.5

     Beatrice Mary Hatfield Back was born in 1862 in Berkewell, Warwickshire, England.1 She married John Hugh Granville Randolph in 1895 in St George Hanover Square, London, England.2 She was the wife of John Hugh Granville Randolph in the 1911 census in Dower House, Wonersh, Surrey, England. John was living with his wife, three daughters and six servants. John was a Bishop and signed himself as John Guildford.3 John and his family were still living in the Bishops House in Wonersh in 1927.4 She died on 14 March 1935 in Nursing Home Harcourt Bridge Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, her usual address was The Deanery in Salisbury.5,6 Her estate was probated on 9 May 1935 in Winchester to her husband Right Rev John Hugh Granville Randolph a bishop.6 There was a window in St John the Baptist Church in Wonersh which says 'In memory of John Hugh Granville Randolph - Bishop Suffragan of Guildford 1909-1927 and Dean of Salisbury 1928-1935 and his wife beatrice Mary Hatfeild 1862-1935 who lived in Wonersh 1909-1928 RIP.7'

     Hilda Mary Mercer was born in 1901 in Wonersh, Surrey, England.1 She was the daughter of Joseph Edwin Mercer and Eliza Elizabeth Oliver. She married Thomas William Hammond, son of Benjamin Thomas Hammond and Gertrude Mary Bond Murton, on 6 June 1927 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Elsie Hammon and Geoffrey Philip Hammond. Thomas was a bus driver and his father Benjamin Thomas Hammond was a gardener. Hilda's father Joseph Edwin Mercer was a labourer. Both Thomas and Hilda came from Wonersh.2

He was baptised on 7 May 1865 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England.2 He married Eliza Elizabeth Oliver, daughter of James Oliver and Susannah Chewter, on 30 November 1889 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by James Oliver and Emma Oliver. Joseph was a labouer like his father William Mercer. Elisa's father James Oliver was also a labourer. Both Joseph and Elisa came from Wonersh.3

     Arthur Kitchener Barton-Tales was born on 2 June 1916. He married Edna Vera Griffiths in 1939 in Surrey, England.1 In 1949 Arthur and Edna living in 29 Hillview Crescent in Guildford. They were still there in 1954.2 Arthur and Edna lived in Flat 1 Medd House, The Street in Wonersh in 1957-8.2 They moved in 1959 to Poynings, Barnett Lane in Wonersh staying until 1960.2 His wife Edna died in October 1998 in Devon, England.3 He died in February 2000 in Exeter, Devon, England, at age 83.4
