Richard Jnr was an agricultural labourer.3 He married Emily Harriett Marshall on 28 March 1891 in St John the Evangelist, Guildford, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by James Sole and Emily Walls. James was a labourer like his father Ricjhard James Norris. Emily's father George Marshall was a labourer.4,5 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in New Road, Chilworth, Surrey, England. James was a labourer in the gunpowder factory living with his wife and children. They had one boarder.6 His wife Emily died in 1908 in England.
