     Sarah Caroline Mitchell was born circa 1862. She was the daughter of William Mitchell and Mary A ... She was baptised on 21 December 1862 in Lower Beeding, Sussex, England, her parents were William and Mary Ann Mitchell.1 She was a daughter of William Mitchell and Mary A Mitchell in the 1871 census in 1 St Plumerdam, Lindfold, Sussex, England.2 She married James Thomas Richardson, son of William Richardson and Jane Hamshar, on 18 October 1884 in St Nicholas, Cranleigh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by William Albert Mitchell and Alice Jane Mitchell. James was a labourer like his ftaher William. Sarah's father William Albert Mitchell was also a labourer.3 She was the wife of James Thomas Richardson in the 1891 census in Lower Beeding, Sussex, England. James was an agricultural labourer living with his wife and children.4 She was the wife of James Thomas Richardson in the 1901 census in Hop Gardens, Lower Beeding, Sussex, England. James was a general farm labourer living with his wife and children.5 She was the wife of James Thomas Richardson in the 1911 census in 15 Church Hill, Patcham, Sussex, England. James was a farm labourer living with his wife and children.6 When James and Caroline heard of the death of their son they were living in 1 Sussex Row, Brighton Road, Horsham, Sussex, England.7 She died in 1940 in Horsham, Sussex, England.8

He was the son of James Thomas Richardson and Sarah Caroline Mitchell in the 1891 census in Lower Beeding, Sussex, England.1 He was the son of James Thomas Richardson and Sarah Caroline Richardson in the 1901 census in Hop Gardens, Lower Beeding, Sussex, England. William was a carter boy on the farm.2

     Charles Edgar Richardson was born on 12 March 1890 in Guildford, Surrey, England.1,2 He was the son of James Thomas Richardson and Sarah Caroline Mitchell. He was baptised on 25 May 1890 in St Nicolas, Guildford, Surrey, England, his father was a shepherd and the family lived in Littleton.1 He was the son of James Thomas Richardson and Sarah Caroline Mitchell in the 1891 census in Lower Beeding, Sussex, England.3 He was the son of James Thomas Richardson and Sarah Caroline Richardson in the 1901 census in Hop Gardens, Lower Beeding, Sussex, England.4 He married May Finniss on 31 August 1910 in Brighton, Sussex, England.5,6 Charles enlisted in Preston, Sussex on 11 December 1915 into the Army Service Corps Motor Transport as a Private Reg number DM/2/154266, he was a chauffeur. He was discharge on 11 September 1916 through sickness, t appears he suffered from epilepsy.7 He died in 1962 in Chorley, Lancashire, England.8
