V. of All Saints, Westbrook, Margate, 1894-1901. V. of St Mark's, North End, Portsea, Hampshire, 1901-9. Bishop Suffragan of Guildford, 1909-27. Dean of Salisbury, 1928-36.4 He married Beatrice Mary Hatfield Randolph in 1895 in St George Hanover Square, London, England.5 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in All Saints Vicarage, Margaret, Kent, England. John was a Church of England clergyman living with his wife and daughters with five servants.
