V. of All Saints, Westbrook, Margate, 1894-1901. V. of St Mark's, North End, Portsea, Hampshire, 1901-9. Bishop Suffragan of Guildford, 1909-27. Dean of Salisbury, 1928-36.4 He married Beatrice Mary Hatfield Randolph in 1895 in St George Hanover Square, London, England.5 He received the probate of the estate of Anne Randolph on 19 April 1899.6 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in All Saints Vicarage, Margaret, Kent, England. John was a Church of England clergyman living with his wife and daughters with five servants. He moved in 1927 he was appointed by the Crown to the Deanery of Salisbury.10,11 His wife Beatrice died on 14 March 1935 in Nursing Home Harcourt Bridge Road, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.12,6 He died on 21 March 1936 in The Manor Farm House, Britford, Wiltshire, England, at age 70.13,6 He was buried on 26 March 1936 in Salisbury Cathedral, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, in the cloister garth in the grave next to his wife.11 His estate was probated on 22 June 1936 in London to his daughters Joan Mary Lucas (wife of Rev Egbert de Grey Lucas a clerk), Margaret Anne Theodosius (wife of rev Arthur William Henry Theodosius a clerk) and Frances Edith Randolph a spinster. His effects were valued at £13,70 1s 6d.6 There is a window in St John the Baptist Church in Wonersh which says 'In memory of John Hugh Granville Randolph - Bishop Suffragan of Guildford 1909-1927 and Dean of Salisbury 1928-1935 and his wife Beatrice Mary Hatfield 1862-1935 who lived in Wonersh 1909-1928 RIP.14'
