George was a bricklayer living with his wife, and nephew. His widowed father was living with them.4 Peter was brought up by his Uncle George and Aunt Daisy. William was a carpenter staying with Thomas and Martha Blay.14 He was the grandson of William Joseph Simmonds and Margaret Simmonds in the 1881 census in Wonersh, Surrey, England.15 He married Rosetta Garratt, daughter of William Garratt and Harriet Dufton, on 1 August 1881 in Holy Trinity, Guildford, Surrey, England, after the banns were read. William was a joiner, carpenter living with his wife and five of his children. Harold was described as feeble minded from birth.19 His wife Rosetta died in 1903 in Guildford, Surrey, England.20 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in 24 Sandifield Terrace, Guildford, Surrey, England. William was a retired builder living with four of his children in their six roomed home, Harold was described as feeble minded from birth.21 He died on 1 April 1919 in St James Infirmary, Wandsworth, London, England, his usual address was 24 Sandfield Terrace in Guildford.18,22 His estate was probated on 16 April 1919 to Stanley Simmonds a Private in HM Army, Mabel Simmonds a spinster and a solicitor William Triggs Stevenson Turner. His estate was valued at £429 12s 0d.18
