     John Frederick Bore was born on 9 June 1926.¹ He was the son of John Ernest Bore and Caroline Margaret Greathead.¹ John volunteered to join the Rifle Brigade and went through Europe. He lied like so many other brave boys about his age, he was only seventeen. He served as Court Guard in the Nuremberg war trials and out of digust he bought himself out. After the war he joined the parachute regiment and it is thought he became a Freemason. He worked in Nigeria as Port Superintendent and retired to Andorra where he died.¹ He died on 29 June 1986 aged 60 and his body was returned to England and cremated in Essex. He remained unmarried.¹

     Henry George Ponsford was born on 5 November 1924 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.^3,4 He was the son of William Ernest Ponsford and ... Patrick.² He married Renée Margaret Bore, daughter of John Ernest Bore and Caroline Margaret Greathead, on 20 September 1950 in Register Office, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England, The ceremony was witnessed by MA and WE Ponsford after a licence was issued. Renée was a shipping clerk in a shipping company, Henry was a Lance Corporal no 21128741 in the Gloucestershire Regiment. Renée gave her address as 21 Chedworth Crescent, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth and Henry 110 Blakemere Crescent, Paulsgrove, Portsmouth.^1,5 He died on 9 April 2008 aged 83 in his sleep after fighting bone cancer.¹

     Henry W George Poague was born on 29 January 1935 in Poplar, London, England.^1,3 He was the son of Henry George W Poague and Eileen D Grant.² Henry went to the same school as his future wife, he left at age 15 to be van boy. When he was 17 years of age he joined RASC for his national service, most of which he spent in Germany. He was released in 1955.¹ He married Joyce Louisa Bore, daughter of John Ernest Bore and Caroline Margaret Greathead, on 5 November 1955 in Poplar Register Office, Poplar, London, England, after a certificate was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by C M Bore and John F Bore. Henry gave his occupation as a boiler scaler and his address as 93 Kerbey Street, Poplar while Joyce gave her address as 24 Campbell Road, Bow.^1,4 Henry joined P.L.A. as a driver and when the dockyard reorganised the Albert Dock he worked for BT in the city in the post room until he retired due to sickness aged 58.¹ He died on 23 December 2001 in Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, Essex, England, aged 66 from high grade non hodgkin lymphoma, his usual address was 88 Ashworth Place, Church Langley, Harlow, Essex.^1,5
