     Thomas Scatcherd was the son of Samuel Scatcherd and Mary Greatheed.¹ Thomas died on 18 April 1721.¹

     Jane Scatcherd was the daughter of Samuel Scatcherd and Mary Greatheed.¹ Jane died on 27 March 1719.¹

     Mary Scatcherd was born about 1721.¹ She was the daughter of Samuel Scatcherd and Mary Greatheed.¹ Mary died on 15 February 1732 Mary was eleven years old.¹

     Peter Greathead was born about 1602 in Morley Hole, Morley, Yorkshire, England.² He was the son of Thomas Greatheed and Ellen Oates.¹ Peter was a clothier from Morley.¹ Ellen and her eldest son Peter sold the surviving half of the Morley Hole estate (the first half being sold in 1622 by Thomas before he died) Peter immediately leased back a portion of their former property and lived there for some time on the proits of the sale. Peter like his father was a clothier.² On 13 July 1642 Rev Roger Awdsley, the local vicar was among the first in Yorkshire to call for troops to be raised against the king. Joshua and his brothers Peter, Thomas and Nicholas led 250 insurgents to capture Lord Savile's magnificent Howley Hall in Batley. They served under Colonel John Lambert. Joshua was later known as Major. They were all commissioned officers and served with distinction in the Parliamentary Army. Joshua later defected to the Royalists becoming a traitor to his friends.³ Peter died in 1649 in Morley, Yorkshire, England.²

     Martha Kinge was born in 1651 in London, England.^3,2 She married ... Fox.² Her husband ... died on before 1689.² She married Henry Greatheed, son of Joshua Greatheed and Susannah Crowther, on 20 February 1689 in St Dunstans Church, Stepney, London, England, The marriage was witnessed by John Greathead.^1,4,2 Henry seems to have taken on Martha's three children and tthey changed their name to Greatheed.² Her husband Henry died on 15 August 1718 in Gildersome, Yorkshire, England, His will was signed on 2 June 1711 and was living in Parish of St Giles in Cripplegate and appears to have been proved on 20 July 1728. In it he leaves bequests to his wife Martha, brother Samuel and his three sisters, his three stepchildren (Martha's children) and his Smith niece and nephews. He left the bulk of his estate to his daughter Mary who married Samuel Scatcherd.^1,5,6,3,2 Martha was buried in St Mary in the Wood, Morley, Yorkshire, England.³ Martha died on 15 August 1722 in Yorkshire, England.¹

     Alice Greatheed was born in 1641 in Gildersome, Yorkshire, England.² She was the daughter of Joshua Greatheed and Susannah Crowther.¹ She married John Smith John was from Gildersome.¹ Alice died in 1727 in Gildersome, Yorkshire, England.² Her husband John died on 1869 in Rothwell Jail, Rothwell, Yorkshire, England, where he had been transferred from Fleet prison and was confined for non payment of debts.^1,2
