The West Surrey Coroner held an inquest in the Village Hall and recorder a verdict of accidental death by drowning, it looked like her hand slipped while she turned on the taps and the bruising incurred caused her to become unconscious and sadly drown.5 She was buried on 2 September 1941 in Wonersh and Blackheath Cemetery, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after a service in St John the Baptsit.6
