Winifred was a ladies maid for Helen Kathleen Holland wife of a merchant Charles Theodore Holand.4 Valentine and Lady Aline Vivian and their maid Winifred Horsell. Valentine was a director and gave the address for all three of them as 72 Eaton Place SW1 . They were bound for Lisbon in Portugal leaving London on 14 April 1934 on board the Highland Princess.5 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Winifred was listed as living at 89 Chestnut Road, Merton, London, England, Winifred was a dress maker, she was listed as helping in the mobility unit for Nelson Hospital.6 She died in 1974 in Merton, London, England.7

Sidney was an undergardener.4 Sidney entered the theatre of War in France on 27 July 1915 serving with 7th The Queens Regiment G/2063 as a Corporal, he was by July 1916 promoted to Sergeant.5,6 Sid and Frank are mentioned in a letter dated 9 April 1916 from Francis Coleman to his mother. He wrote that he had not seen Sid, or Frank in a while.7 The Surrey Advertiser on Monday 10 July 1916 wrote that two Wonersh men were wounded at the front. They were Sergeant S Horsell, son of Mr and Mrs A Horsell and Private John Mason. Both were attached to 7th Queen's. Sergeant Horsell had written that they had been admitted into Hospital. Both men had brothers serving in the colours. Sidney's brother was William Horsell.6 He married Annie Harris, daughter of William Walter Harris and Elizabeth Harrison, on 15 July 1922 in St Mary the Virgin, Shalford, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Percy Frederick Goodwin and Winifred May Horsell. Sidney was a chauffeur and his father Arthur Horsell was a gardener. Annie's father William Walter Harris was a carpenter.8,9 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Sidney was listed as living at 188 Merton Road, Wimbledon, Surrey, England, with his wife Annie. Sidney was a cartage contractor.10 Sidney worked as a removal man and used his own van to take the 1st Wimbledon boys scouts of which his son Sidney was a member to scout camp each summer.11 He died in 1971 in Merton, London, England.12

Sidney W Horsell was born on 14 July 1931 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England.1,2 He was the son of Sidney Herbert Horsell and Annie Harris. Sidney was a member of the 1st Wimbledon Boy Scout Group. His father used his removals lorry to take the troop to camp.2 Sidney attended Pelham Road County School in Winbledon.2 Sid undertook his National Service in the Army. Following discharge he remained in the Territorial rising to become a senior NCO, only to be called from the reserve or the Suez crisis. Repordley he did little more, however, than reach Port Said to play football on the quayside before sailing back to England on cessation of hostilities.2 He married Joyce I Milne in 1976 in Merton, London, England.3 Sidney rose to become Chief Weights and Measures Officer in Kensington and Chelsea.2 He died on 11 March 2018 in England at age 86.2

Mildred Broome was born on 20 June 1895 in Amprior, Renfrew, Ontario, Canada, her parents were John and Annie Broome.1 She married Arthur William Abbott, son of Walter Abbott and Annie Hogsflesh, on 22 November 1916 in Renfrew, Ontario, Canada, Arthur was a farmer. Mildred was the sister of Duncan Broome, husband of her sister Alice.1,2,3
Arthur and Mildred together with their 18 month old daughter Annie moved to Bethune in Saskatchewan in 1919 They lived with Mildred's brother Duncan for a year while Arthur worked on neighbouring farms.3 In 1920 Arthur and Mildred moved on now with two children to the Westridge district and farmed there for 20 years, where they had a further four children . Arthur's mother and brother Ernest lived with them they decided to return to England in 1937.3 She was the wife of Arthur William Abbott in the Canadian1921 census in Saskatchewan, Canada.4 Around 1940, the Abbott family moved back to Bethune where Arthur worked on other farms and Mildred took in boarders. In 1945 they went to Camp Shiloh in Manitoba where they opearated the canteen for the Salvation Army, staying there until 1946 when they returned to Bethune.3 Her husband Arthur died on 4 June 1974 in Craik Community Hospital, Craik, Saskatchewan, Canada.5 She died on 20 January 1995 in Newmarket Manor Nursing Home, Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Canada, at age 99 She was survived by four daughters, daughter in law, 29 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, making a six generation family.1 She was buried in Bethune Cemetery, Bethune, Saskatchewan, Canada.1

John Kenneth Abbott was born on 24 August 1919 in Bethune, Saskatchewan, Canada.1,2 He was the son of Arthur William Abbott and Mildred Broome.1 In 1920 Arthur and Mildred moved on now with two children to the Westridge district and farmed there for 20 years, where they had a further four children . Arthur's mother and brother Ernest lived with them they decided to return to England in 1937.2 He married Margaret Isabel Campbell in June 1951 in Canada.1
He died on 14 December 1994 in Regina General Hospital, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, at age 75 he was survived by his wife, mother, two sons, one daughter, five grandchildren and one great grandaughter, four sisters Elsie, Ann, Betty and Florence.3 The funeral of John Kenneth Abbott took place on 16 December 1994 in St James Anglican Church, 1105 Empress Street, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.1 He was buried in Regina Memorial Gardens, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.3
