She will be lovingly remembered by her children Doran (Gene) Tiefenbach, Brian (Donna) and Vern (Lynn); six grandchildren Jason (Cheryl) Harlton, Karyn (Shawn) Rowsom, Natasha (Derek) Ford, Nicole Abbott, Rebecca (Hugh) Quist and Kyle Tiefenbach; four great granddaughters Alyssa, Saydi, Rachel and Emma; sisters Jean Wanner and Alice Kuntz as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.3 She was buried on 23 December 2011 in Regina Memorial Gardens, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, after a memorial service at Regina Funeral Home.1

Earl was an air frame mechanic with the RCAF stationed at Paulson, Manitoba for four years during WW2. His working life after the war was varied; from farm hand to short order cook to town cop, settling on the carrier of mail carrier in Regina in 1954. He loved his work and made friends with many of his customers from different routes. In May of 1960, while on his rounds he pulled two children from their burning house; a third child, a baby in a crib, was removed by a fireman. In October 1966 again while walking his route he came upon another home fire. That time he helped a mother and two children escape to safety. For his heroic action local Union for the Letter Carriers Union of Canada presented him with a gold medal letter carrier crescent, which he highly valued. It was estimated that he walked 375,000 miles and carried a weight load of 65 tons over the years. Earl was a member of the Odd Fellows for 50 years. During those 50 years he was twice District 12 Past Grand Master.1 She died on 28 September 2016 in Lumsden, Saskatchewan, Canada, at age 90.1
