     Daniel Pass was born about 1806 in Worcestershire, England.1 He was the son of James Pass.2 He married Sarah Greathead, daughter of John Greathead and Elizabeth ..., on 5 July 1849 in St Philip, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, after banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Elizabeth Greathead and John Greathead. Daniel was a shoe and bootmaker and lived at Great Charles Street. Sarah gave her address as Steelhouse Lane.3,4 Daniel was listed as head of household in the census of 30 March 1851 at 5 Newton Street, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, Daniel was a bootmaker and Sarah a stay maker. They had two lodgers a couple called William and Elizabeth Howell.5 His wife Sarah died on 1853 in Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.6
