Thelma May Greathead née Preston
     Thelma May Preston was born on 1 June 1907 in Kenkeri, New Zealand.1 She married Clarence Bright Greathead, son of Ernest Frederick Greathead and Mary Toms, on 18 August 1926 in Methodist Church, Waitakaru, New Zealand.1,2 Her husband Clarence died on 19 February 1960 in Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand, aged 58.1,3,4,5 Thelma filed administration papers on the estate of her late husband Clarence on 8 June 1960.6 She left a will on 28 October 1986 the executors were some of her surviving children Martin, Gary and Gay. She made several bequeaths, leaving her piano to Martin, her grandmother clock to her son Earle, her car to the grandson Colin Little,the rest of the estate to be divided between her four children, three grandchildren and her friend John Wiliam Booth.6,5 She died on 23 March 1988 in Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand, aged 80.1,7 She was buried in Otahuhu Cemetery, Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand, Clarence and his wife were buried in the same grave in Area J Lot no 7. The ashes of their son Martin were also scattered on the grave. The transcription on the gravestone read " In loving memory of Clarence Bright Greathead, loved husband and father, born January 1902, 19 February 1960. Preserve me, O God, for in thee have I put my trust."8,5

Earle Clarence Greathead
     Earle Clarence Greathead was born on 4 October 1929 in Thames, New Zealand.1,2,3,4 He was the son of Clarence Bright Greathead and Thelma May Preston. He married Alma Bessie Latwer on 26 April 1952 Alma's name was also Brunt.1 Earle in March 1988 received from his mother's will her grandmother clock and a share of what remained after the bequests were given.5 He died on 26 May 2006 in New Zealand aged 76 after a short illness.3 He was buried on 31 May 2006 in Waikumete Cemetery, Waikumete, West Auckland, New Zealand.3,6

She married Cornelis Pieter De Jong on 24 April 1954.1 Gay in March 1988 became the Executor alongside her brothers Gary and Martin for the will of her mother. She received a share of what remained after the bequests were given.4

Martin Wilson Greathead
     Martin Wilson Greathead was born on 4 July 1941 in Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand.1,2,3 He was the son of Clarence Bright Greathead and Thelma May Preston. He married Susan Matthews in 1967 in New Zealand.1,4 His wife Susan died on 15 September 1980 in Otahuhu, New Zealand, after being hit by a car late one night after returning from the pub. Her death was subject to a coroners inquest in Wellington.1,5,6,7 Martin a barman in March 1988 became the Executor alongside his brother Gary and sister Gay for the will of his mother. He received her piano and a share of what remained after the bequests were given.8 He married Lucy Iri in 1989 in New Zealand Lucy was Martin's second wife.1,9 He died on 15 September 1994 in Middlemore Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand, aged 53 from pneumonia.1,2,10,11 His body was cremated Martin's ashes were scattered on his parent's grave. The transcription on the gravestone read " In loving memory of Clarence Bright Greathead, loved husband and father, born January 1902, 19 February 1960. Preserve me , O God, for in thee have I put my trust." on 17 September 1994 in Manukau Memorial Gardens, Auckland, New Zealand.12,13
