     Emma Grace Greathead was born on 21 March 1893 in Carterton, New Zealand.^2,3 She was the daughter of William Greathead and Fanny Fuller. She married William John Grose on 4 November 1915.² Emma died on 22 August 1931 in Masterton, Wellington, New Zealand, aged 38.^2,4 Emma died as a result of a collision between two cars on the Masterton-Carterton Road at Waingawn about 5:40pm. William Grose her husband drove the car, he, his mother in law Fanny and son Thomas all suffered head injuries and were taken to hospital. William was a dental mechanic. The other car was driven by Robert Coulson, head butcher at the Waingawa abbattoirs, he was the sole occupant. Both cars were wrecked.⁴ Emma was buried on 25 August 1931 in Archer Street Cemetery, Masterton, Wellington, New Zealand.²

     Thomas Francis Grose married Jean Hatfull.¹ He was born on 29 June 1922 in Masterton, Wellington, New Zealand.² He was the son of William John Grose and Emma Grace Greathead.
