Alice Haigh née Hawke
     Alice Hawke was born on 28 May 1886 in Greytown, New Zealand.1 She married James Haigh, son of Samuel Haigh and Jane Ann Moffatt, on 26 May 1910 in Greytown, Wairarapa, New Zealand.1 Her husband James died on 31 October 1949 in Nelson, New Zealand, aged 65.1 Alice died on 2 June 1974 in Nelson, New Zealand, aged 88.1

Jack Alaster Haigh1

Jack Alaster Haigh
     Jack Alaster Haigh was born on 18 February 1911 in Greytown, Nelson, New Zealand.1 He was the son of James Haigh and Alice Hawke.1 Jack was educated at Mataura School but had little secondary education due to financial circumstances. He worked at the freezing works at Mataura then became a grocer in Island Bay, Wellington before joining the Air Force. He rose to the rank of Warrent Officer.1 He married Kathleen Elizabeth Mason on 20 July 1946 in St Aidens, Wellington, New Zealand, they lived at Island Bay for 17 years and then moved to Auckland for six years to be near their daughter.1 Jack died on 4 May 1979 in Auckland, Nelson, New Zealand, aged 68 from a brain tumour.1

Kathleen Elizabeth Mason née Haigh
     Kathleen Elizabeth Mason was born on 6 March 1907 in Christchurch, New Zealand, she was the daughter of James Mason and Henrietta Newby.1 She married Jack Alaster Haigh, son of James Haigh and Alice Hawke, on 20 July 1946 in St Aidens, Wellington, New Zealand, they lived at Island Bay for 17 years and then moved to Auckland for six years to be near their daughter.1 Her husband Jack died on 4 May 1979 in Auckland, Nelson, New Zealand, aged 68 from a brain tumour.1 After Jack died Kit moved to Upper Hutt as Christine and Warwick had moved there.1 Kathleen died on 25 January 1997 in Home of Compassion, Upper Hutt, New Zealand, aged 89.1
