     William White was born about 1883 in Tudhoe Colliery, Tudhoe, Durham, England.1,2 He was the son of Joseph White and Jane Ann Anderson.1 There is a lovely picture of Joseph, Jane Ann and their three children William, Joseph and George.1 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 171 Tudhoe Colliery, Tudhoe, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Jane Ann White.3 A lovely picture of the widowed Jane and and her four sons.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 171 Tudhoe Colliery, Tudhoe, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Jane Ann White William was a coal miner, timber leader below ground.4 He married Annie Kay in 1906 in Auckland, Durham, England.5 William was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in 24 Weardale Street, Mount Pleasant, Spennymoor, Durham, England, William was a coal miner hewer living with his wife and three children. His sister in law Greta Kay was also in their four roomed home.6 William died in 1915 to TB.1

     James Jones Dowzer was born on 14 January 1827 in Carlow, Ireland.2 He was the son of Michael Dowzer and Julia Sterne.1 James emigrated in 1853 to Australia and became the 3rd Mayor of the town of Maryborough in Queensland.1
