John was a Gunner in the Royal Artillery and his father Robert Bones a miller. Eliza was a servant, her father John Greathead was a constable.2,1

     Crompton Treweek Taylor was born on 11 December 1877 in Aston, Warwickshire, England.1,3,2 He was the son of George Taylor and Ann Elizabeth Treweek.1 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 28 Edgar Road, Bromley, London, England, he was listed as the son of George Taylor.4 In the census of 5 April 1891 in 45 Addington Road, Reading, Berkshire, England, he was listed as the son of George Taylor Compton is described as a scholar.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 8 Laleham Road, Staines, Middlesex, England, he was listed as the boarder of William and Ada Dodge. Crompton was a bank clerk.6 He married Cecil Dorothy Huggins, daughter of Neville Huggins and Ada Margaret Llewellin, on 28 April 1909 in Staines, Middlesex, England.2,7 An unknown person was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 Bank House, 84 Victoria Road, Surbiton, Surrey, England, Crompton was a bank clerk living with his brother also a bank clerk and a servant in a seven roomed home. Crompton's wife staying with her mother.8 Crompton died in 1946 in Staines, Middlesex, England.9
