Bothe Henry and Ellen lived in Stoughton.1

The ceremony was witnessed by Edward George Gibbs and Rosie Annie Elizabeth Gibbs née Marle. George was a carter living at Worsled Cottage Dunnys Mill in East Grinstead. His father Thomas Glew was deceased but had worked as a labourer. Sarah lived at Sunnyside Cottages also in East Grinstead. her father Henry Smith was a labourer.3,4 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Shamley Green, Surrey, England. George was a carter for the nursery living with his wife and four children alll still alive.5 He died in 1916 in Stonards Cottage, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.6 He was buried on 27 March 1916 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, in plot E14.6

Alice Mary Glew was born on 19 April 1903 in East Grinstead, Sussex, England.1 She was the daughter of George Leonard Glew and Sarah Ann Smith. She was the daughter of George Leonard Glew and Sarah Ann Glew in the 1911 census in Shamley Green, Surrey, England.2 She married Ernest Walter John Pollard, son of William Pollard and Ellen Street, on 30 April 1921 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Edward Gent and Richard Mould. Ernest was a labourer living in Cranleigh. His father William Pollard was also a labourer. Alice lived in Shamley Green. Her father George Leonard Glew had died.3,4 She appeared in the household as a visitor of Alice Mary Pollard in the 1921 census in Blackheath, Surrey, England. She was the only occupant of the house. Listed as an out of work cook and housekeeper usually working for Worplesdon Hill in Woking. Her new husband was living in Cranleigh with his parents, strangely she was listed as single.5 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Alice was listed as living at Hillview, Guildford Road, Cranleigh, Surrey, England, with her husband Ernest. Ernest was a general labourer.6 Her husband Ernest died in 1969 in Surrey, England.7 She died in 1982 in Surrey, England.8
