     Frederick Paul Clee was born on 2 March 1899 in Guildford, Surrey, England.1 He married Annie Kate Durant, daughter of William Jackman and Ellen Roberts, on 4 August 1928 in St Mary the Virgin, Shalford, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Sidney Herbert John Clee, Beatrice E Clee and Mary Ellen Adams. Frederick was an engineer and his father George Clee was a storeman. Annie's father William Durant was a gardener.2,3 His wife Annie died on 9 April 1969 in Hendon, London, England.4 He died on 10 March 1980 in Brent, London, England, at age 81.5

He was baptised on 1 November 1908 in St Mary the Virgin, Shalford, Surrey, England, his parents were William and Ellen living in East Shalford and his father was a gardener.2 He died in November 1908 in Shalford, Surrey, England.3

     Alice Mayne was born in 1875 in Godstone, Surrey, England.1 She was the daughter of Ellen Mayne. She married George Homewood on 1 June 1895 in St Mary, Bletchingley, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Edward Henry Loker and Elizabeth J Arsons. George was a sawyer like his father James Homewood. No father's name was recorded for Alice.2,3 She was the daughter of Ellen Mayne in the 1901 census in 4 Mint, Bletchingley, Surrey, England. Ellen was a charwoman living with her daughter, son in law and grandchildren.4 Her husband George died before 1911. She married William Avenell, son of Edward Avenell and Caroline Ann Durant, on 28 September 1912 in St Mary, Bletchingley, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Harry Waters and Nellie Alice Homewood. William was a police constable and his father Edward Avenall was a carter. Alice was a widow and no fathers details were recorded.3 Her husband William died on 3 January 1916 in France.5 She died in 1956 in Surrey, England.6
