James was an agricultural labourer living with his wife and daughter.4 She was the wife of James Broomfield in the 1911 census in Seminary Cottages, Wonersh, Surrey, England. James was a farm labourer living with his wife they had three children, one of whom had died by 1911. They had a lodger Louise Greenfield who was a laundress.5

Walter was a printer.4 He married Margaret Drummond in 1885 in Highworth, Wiltshire, England.1,5 He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in 44 Richmond Park Road, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England. Walter was a printer stereo and electro typer living with his wife and children, little Nora was just eight months old. His sister in law Eliza Jane Drummond aged 18 born in Wales was with them.6 Brothers Walter and William worked at Unwins Printing works in Blacksmith Lane in Chilworth. After the fire there in 1895, Walter went to work for Billings in Guildford and William went to Unwins in Great Suffolk Streeet in London until the firm started up again in Old Woking in May 1896.7 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in Strathearn, Artington, Surrey, England. Walter was a stereo and elctro type printer living with his wife and children.8 He received the probate of the estate of William Ansell on 2 August 1907.9 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Rio Ora, Tillingbourne Road, Shalford, Surrey, England. Walter was printers stereo and electrotype printer living with his wife and children.10 Walter described as a printer left London on 27 September 1912 on board Rotorua bound for Wellington in New Zealand with his son Alexander.11 Walter listed as retired and his wife Margaret and Miss E Ansell aged 32 sailed on Corinthe leaving Southampton on 11 September 1926 bound for New Zealand, they travelled first class.11 His wife Margaret died on 10 September 1943 in Auckland, New Zealand.12 He died on 1 August 1948 in Auckland, New Zealand.13 He was buried in Purewa Cemetery, Meadowbank, Auckland, New Zealand, Walter and Margaret are buried under the same gravestone.12

Charles was an oilman and hardware dealer and hawker living with his wife and daughter. Charles and Jane stated that they had two children but sadly one had died by 1911. I have been unable to trace this child.8 Her husband Charles died on 24 March 1930 in 1 Lower Manor Road, Godalming, Surrey, England.9,10 She received the probate of the estate of Charles Edwin Hussey on 10 May 1930 in London to his widow and daughter. His effects were valued at £897 12s 0d.10 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Kate was listed as living at 1 Lower Manor Road, Godalming, Surrey, England, Kate was with her daughter who was a music and general subjects teacher.11 She died in December 1941 in Surrey, England, at age 75.12

William Arthur Ansell was born in 1870 in Wonersh, Surrey, England.1,2 He was the son of William Ansell and Jane Lambert.1 He was a son of William Ansell and Jane Ansell in the 1871 census in Wonersh Common, Wonersh, Surrey, England.3 He was the son of William Ansell and Jane Ansell in the 1881 census in Wonersh Common, Wonersh, Surrey, England.4 He was the son of William Ansell and Jane Ansell in the 1891 census in Brickyard, Compton, Surrey, England. William was a printers compositor.5 He married Mary Robinson Smith, daughter of ... Smith and Hannah ..., in 1894 in Guildford, Surrey, England.6 Brothers Walter and William worked at Unwins Printing works in Blacksmith Lane in Chilworth. After the fire there in 1895, Walter went to work for Billings in Guildford and William went to Unwins in Great Suffolk Streeet in London until the firm started up again in Old Woking in May 1896.7 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in Ellis Farm, Westfield, Surrey, England. William was a printer compositor living with his wife and children. They had two boarders living with them Frederick King and George Simmonds.8 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Oak Bank, College Lane, Woking, Surrey, England. William was a printers compositor living with his wife, children and mother in law.9 He died in 1914 in Guildford, Surrey, England, as a result of an accident where he cycled into an oncoming car. He was one of the first road traffic accidents in Woking.10,11
