     Lomax James Plymen was born circa 1852.1 He married Mary Jane Cotterell, daughter of Francis Cotterell and Elizabeth Smallpiece, on 8 August 1876 in St Mary, Ripley, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. the ceremony was witnessed by Mary Ann Plymen, Francis Cotterell, Frances E Shrayne, J Sidney Shrayne and Jon N Huchin. Lomax was a schoolmaster from Ripley, his father Joseph Plymen was a furnishing warehouseman. Mary's father Francis Cotterell was a Registrar of Births and Deaths.2,3 He died in 1901 in Christchurch, Hampshire, England.4
