She was visiting Henry and Ann Peak and was listed as a Nurse.7 She was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in Aukland House, Auckland Hill, Lambeth, London, England. Rose was a laundress and had a widow Anna Brooks also from Worplesdon living with her. Rose gave her age as 47.8 She died in 1910 in Lambeth, London, England.9

The ceremony was witnessed by Frederick Searle and Rose Cooke. Henry was a greengrocer in Pirbright and his father Abraham a master gardener. Elizabeth was also from Pirbright and her father Frederick was a grocer.1,5 He was listed as head of household in the 1881 census in West Hall Farm, Pirbright, Surrey, England. Henry was a farmer of 80 acres employing three labourers.6 He received the probate of the estate of Abraham Cooke on 12 December 1882 in the Principal Registry to Henry Cooke, a farmer of West Hall Farm and Henry Newman of Market Street in Guildford, a County Basket Maker. The ceremony was witnessed by John James Perrow, Moses Cooke and Charlotte Wade. Job was a gardener from Worplesdon like his father Abraham.      Alice Vera Edith Harbroe was born on 19 December 1911 in Hambledon, Surrey, England.1 She was the daughter of Ernest Edward Harbroe and Beatrice Mabel Hotson.2 She married Alfred Sidney Carpenter, son of John Thomas Carpenter and Caroline Edwards, on 11 November 1933 in Holy Trinity, Bramley, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Harry Burnett Hill and John Thomas Carpenter. Sidney was a Gardener and his father John Thomas Carpenter a farm labourer. Alice's father Ernest Edward Harbroe was deceased.3 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Alice was listed as living at 9 Lawnsmead, Wonersh, Surrey, England, with her husband Alfred. Alfred was a Gardener living with his wife and their three children.4 She died on 6 August 1997 in Surrey, England, at age 85.5 She was buried in Holy Trinity, Bramley, Surrey, England.6

     John Thomas Carpenter was born in 1862 in Bramley, Surrey, England.1,2 He married Caroline Edwards on 26 August 1894 in Holy Trinity, Bramley, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by James Jackson and Susan Edwards. John was a labourer, his father George was a blacksmith. Caroline's father Thomas was a labourer.1,3 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in Station Row, Shalford, Surrey, England. John was a bricklayers labourer living with his wife and children. His step son Walter Edwards was with them.4 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Union Workhouse, Hambledon, Surrey, England. John was a farm labourer living in the workhouse with all his family, little Alfred was just 8 months old. John and Caroline had lost one of their eight children before 1911.5 His wife Caroline died in 1951 in 3 Eastwood Road, Bramley, Surrey, England.6 He died in 1954 in Bramley, Surrey, England.7 He was buried on 1 April 1954 in Holy Trinity, Bramley, Surrey, England.8
