William was a Gardener living with his wife, Caroline E Martin, Florence Naomi Martin and Gladys H Manfield were also in the house.5 Bill and Gladys retired in 1974 from their shop where they had served villagers since the 1930's. They lived in Bramley.6 Her husband William died in March 1985 in Surrey, England.7 She died on 1 October 2005 in 38 Eastwood Road, Bramley, Surrey, England, at age 94.8 Her body was cremated on 18 October 2005 in Guildford Crematorium, Godalming, Surrey, England.8

Their father was a labourer.1 He was the son of James Faulkner and Susanna Jane Faulkner in the 1911 census in Wonersh, Surrey, England.3 He married Gladys Violet Hammond, daughter of George Walter Hammond and Minnie Mary Lodge, in 1937 in Surrey, England.4 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register William was listed as living at 21 Lawnsmead, Wonersh, Surrey, England, with his wife Gladys. William was a Gardener living with his wife, Caroline E Martin, Florence Naomi Martin and Gladys H Manfield were also in the house.5 William ran a shop in his front room of his Lawnsmead home selling sweets.6 Bill and Gladys retired in 1974 from their shop where they had served villagers since the 1930's.
