     Ronald Jeal was born on 31 March 1924 in Croydon, Surrey, England.1,2 He was the son of Henry Samuel Jeal and Mary Jane Searle. Ronald lived in 11 Sheldon Street. he was educated at St Andrews School, worked as a fitter turner and served in the Air Training Corps.2 He died on 4 June 1945 in Rangoon, Burma, at age 21 Private Ronald Jeal 14337805 was in 4th Battalion of the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment. he was killed by a hand grenade.3,2 He was buried in Rangoon War Cemetery, Rangoon, Burma, in plot ! G 7.3
